What's with the name?

As Reformed Christians, we affirm and hold to the belief that apart from Christ the entire human race is Totally Depraved and enslaved to sin. Our name is a combination of that concept with the name John Newton gave himself in the hymn "Amazing Grace." Consider these quotes from Reformed thinkers on the subject:
