I fall between the two views. I believe the Bible to be the inspired God breathed Word of God. That being said, who is to know or say whether “a day” in God-time” isn’t thousands of years in “man-time” or even hundreds of thousands of years? I believe in intelligent design, which leaves room for scientific explanation melding with Scriptural belief. I believe that the thousands of things prophesied in the Old Testament were fulfilled in the Son of God-made man, Jesus Christ and I believe He is the bridge between sinful man and God for forgiveness of our sins. Honestly, I was sad that both positions were mutually exclusive. I think both should complete the Bible study, “The Truth Project” and see if it impacts their opinions at all. I am awed daily by nature and science every day, but choose to believe that God wonderfully made all things.
