In 2006, a band mostly comprised of young folks under the age of 20 stormed the metal scene with a sound never before seen or heard of, Pop-Metal. Some loved it and some hated it, but there wasn’t really any other way around it. I’ve always thought the album was fantastic and the lyrical depth is seriously refreshing and surprising. Just a couple days ago they made it Public Domain and put up a link to download it for free. Better yet, it’s a Special Edition version with 3 bonus tracks. I highly recommend it. To give you a taste of what they’re like, here’s one of my favorite songs of theirs, “This Burden.”
Former members are now involved in other bands such as Monolith and The Decline And Fall Of Western Civilization which I also recommend!
